Many buyer guides add headroom for dynamic loading. LoadRamp instead matches load_lb to the smallest published pair rating on this ladder (1000 / 1500 / 2000 lb) because those numbers are already manufacturer pair ceilings. You must still stay under the rating and account for dynamic load and one-wheel or axle bias while climbing. Example: equipment 1200 lb → 1500 lb class.
Pair rating vs one-wheel bias
A “1500 lb capacity” pair usually means about 750 lb per ramp if load is shared evenly. During loading, one axle or one wheel can put more than half the machine on one runner.
